EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/CDL: The purposes of this position are to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of light and heavy vehicles and power-driven equipment on assign projects or activities of a public works nature. An individual in this position is also expected to perform many different types of maintenance and repair work and manual labor. Applicants are required to have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent, two years of experience in construction, heavy vehicle driving or heavy equipment operation to start off as an Equipment Operator/CDL. Must have and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a Hoisting Equipment Operations License. Must submit to CDL Drug testing regulations. Applicants who do not meet the criteria for Equipment Operator/CDL may start off as Laborer while they work toward a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a Hoisting Equipment Operations License.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION The Town of Stockbridge provides its employees with a robust benefits package which include: Medical, Dental, Sick-Time, Life Insurance, Holiday Pay, Personal Time, Vacation Time, a Pension Plan, and more. This is a full time, 40-hour work week position with occasional overtime as needed and for emergency response. This role is classified as Equipment Operator/CDL $28.77, Equipment Operator $25.38 (hoisting license), or Laborer $22.89.
