Employment Type: Part-Time, $25- $30hr based on experience, 8-10 hours a
week
Job Summary:
The ReStore Donation Truck Driver plays a key role in Habitat for Humanity's
mission by ensuring the sate and efficient pickup of locally donated goods. This position is
responsible for driving the ReStore box truck to pick up donations from individuals and
businesses, loading and unloading items with care, and representing Habitat for Humanity in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the ReStore box truck to scheduled donor locations for pick-ups.
• Safely load, secure, and unload furniture, appliances, building materials, and
other donated items.
• Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive donation
experience.
• Screen donations for quality and acceptability based ReStore guidelines.
• Accurately complete donation receipts upon completion for pickup
• Assist with loading/unloading merchandise at the store as needed.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report issues, while completing
daily safety truck log.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and donation areas
Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (4 to 5-year MVR record reviewed.)
• Knowledge of the Moore County area
• Experience driving box trucks or similar large vehicles.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Punctual, reliable, and a team player.

• Experience in retail, warehouse, or donation-based settings.
• Familiarity with Habitat for Humanity and its mission. “Seeking to put God’s

• Handle unexpected issues on the road or with donations (e.g., wrong address,
damaged items).
• Adjust to route changes, weather conditions, or last-minute pickups with a
positive attitude.
• Represent the mission of the habitat organization with integrity and care.
Work Schedule:
One day a week 8-10 hours rotating Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
