The City of Wyoming Michigan Fleet Services Division is seeking a Fleet Services Utility or Senior Technician to join its team.
This position will work on diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment such as fire trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, street sweepers, police cars, mowers, and other heavy or light equipment associated with City operations.
Qualifications include a high school degree supplemented by trade school completion or a college degree in heavy or light truck and equipment maintenance with experience in heavy or light truck and equipment repair and maintenance. Must be State of Michigan certified and ASE certified and possess a valid State of Michigan Commercial A License or be able to obtain within 6 months.
Employees progressively gain experience, learn to plan, prioritize a diverse workload, and obtain commercial driver's licenses (CDL) or ASE certifications. The city pays for and trains employees to obtain and maintain a CDL and other licenses and certifications. Additionally, the city provides employees with safety boots and shoes, cold-weather gear, and uniforms.

Fleet Services Utility Technician - $44,934 to $55,842
